Executive Board

Kristen Pfeiffer

President

Long time resident of Dellrose, TN, Kristen Pfeiffer has spent much of her adult life as an entrepreneur. Beginning her career in technology, she soon found that the 9-5 did not fit her dreams to raise a family on their farm. Along with her husband, Bill, they began a successful wholesale greenhouse business where they grew and sold annual bedding plants. After almost 15 years of operating a wholesale greenhouse, they decided to take a chance and add to their businesses by purchasing the long-time BBQ restaurant in downtown Bryson after a fire. Slowly, Kristen and Bill repaired the building and shifted their focus to BBQ and retired from the greenhouse industry. Since 2009, they have been successfully running Corner Pit BBQ.

The life of an entrepreneur allows Kristen to focus on giving back to the community and being home with her children. She spends her week homeschooling her children, helping Bill with their grass-fed beef operation, volunteering at a local nursing home, taking an active role in Giles County’s 4-H, and serving her community on a county committee. She is proud of her sons who are both joining in the family entrepreneurial spirit by the oldest opening a restaurant and the younger starting an electrical business. Her heart is in her faith where she faithfully attends Immaculate Conception parish and volunteers as the bookkeeper. In her spare time she enjoys visiting with friends, knitting, crafting, chauffeuring their daughter to her activities, and reading. She has homeschooled each of her three children and is thankful for the opportunity that entrepreneurship has given her.
